Not all canister vacuums are safe to use on hardwood floors, so today I’m going to review what a canister vacuum that I personally use on my hardwood floors.
There are a lot of things that I love about this canister vacuum but what I love the most is that it pets friendly, it picks up dog hair extremely well.
The canister vacuum that I’m talking about is called Kenmore Elite 81714 canister vacuum, and its freaking awesome its works like magic, its clean my dogs’ hair very well and my hardwood floors unharmed.
I must say that this is by far the best vacuum I have ever used, I have been looking for a vacuum with great suction because the one that I was using was really starting to piss me off, it was slowly but surely damaging my expensive floor and the was dogs hair all over the floor even after cleaning.
After searching and searching I stumbled upon this canister vacuum on amazon, it just what I wanted no blow back, or pet hair and dust that gets stuck to the bottom of the vacuum, or the hose or anywhere on the vacuum for that matter and on top of that it works great on my hardwood floor.
The suction of this canister vacuum is really strong, and I find it very easy to use, the pet toll is the best thing I am very happy because I own two dogs that loves to play on the floor and leave their hair now it is very easy to clean.
I’m very positive that you are going to love this vacuum because it very easy to use, its pets friendly and its works great on any types of flooring it the best vacuum to use in your home.
How much does it cost?
I really love this canister vacuum because it takes my dogs hair off the floor with one pass compared to other vacuums I’ve used before that take several times to remove dirt or pet’s hair on the floor and leave stretches on the floor… this one definitely takes the trophy!
Like I said I have been looking for the perfect vacuum to use on my hardwood floor and the one that really works for a long time, that wont damage my floor over time and this one is by far the best vacuum I have ever used…
This vacuum is a great pleasure to use it gets all my dogs hair off the floor without ruining my expensive floor and the furniture in one swipe, meaning you don’t have to keep going over and over the same spots many times, I have a carpet in my bedroom it also woks great and I love the crossover capability.
What I love the most is that it has automatic cord rewind, all attachments work amazing, I have gone through 3 different vacuums, before I got this one, and none of them worked as good as this one... this vacuum is a keeper!
I would definitely recommend this to pet owners and to people who have hardwood floors.

What are the things that I love about this vacuum?
- Simply, because this vacuum picks up an incredible amount of my dogs’ hair, this is the only vacuum I’ve ever had that picks up the hair so efficiently, ever since I started to use it, I don’t see ANY dog’s hair left behind my floor.
- There are two ways to adjust the suction with this vacuum first, there’s the suction slide control on the handle, and then there’s the ring near the end of the handle that you can twist to adjust it.
- this vacuum can go anyway, even on tight areas... Besides using it for normal floor cleaning, you can easily clean the edges and corners of any room in your home, it just makes the job a lot easier
- great thing about this vacuum is that, you can get it on an affordable price, it surprisingly cheap but also high quality at the same time… if you are looking for a high-quality canister vacuum that doesn’t cost a lot of money than this one is exactly what you are looking for.
- this is very strong, by far the strongest vacuum I have ever used, I have accidentally dropped it twice but it still looks brand new with no single scratch on it.
- This is a great vacuum cleaner, lot of thoughtful accessories and useful, easy to use, nice long cord very, very powerful motor.
- I like this vacuum a lot! Especially like the rotating brush on the XLO setting for hardwood floors, it sweeps the loose particles up the vacuum hose with lots of suction power, it easy for me to use with excellent suction power and multiple attachment.
- Like I said it easy to use, you just have to get the feel for how it connects a few times, you insert down and in towards the front of the brush roller, then click the backside down in, very straight forward the dirt light is accurate and useful when it detects something you can’t see.
- This vacuum is better than what I was using because with this one, I can vacuum all the way under the bed, couch because the wand with the power attachment lies 100% flat.
- I love how easy this is to push on my hardwood floor, and it swivel nicely I also love that I can adjust the intensity of suction so that it doesn’t eat small area rugs on my bedroom when I clean them.
What are the things that I didn’t like about this vacuum?
- The way the hose comes out of the machine, straight up instead of having an elbow that takes the pressure off the hose when you pull it…. in my opinion I have to pull it very gentle and carefully in order not to feel like I’m going to break it, or tip the machine over.
