I have been installing floating floors for over 3 years now, I only deal with hardwood floors, laminate floors, bamboo floors and vinyl plank flooring.
To anyone who may be wondering what floors are the best for pet urine than I highly recommend vinyl plank flooring simple because it has a lot of advantages for people who have pets that pee all over the place.
Why do I recommend vinyl plank flooring for pets Urine?
The reason I only recommend vinyl floors for homes with pets is simple because it is water proof which means you won’t have to worry about your dog urine from ruining your floors.
Another reason I recommend vinyl plank flooring is because most vinyl floors are scratch resistant, which means your cats claws wont damage or ruin your floors over time.
Please note: there are hundreds of different vinyl floors that you can choose from these days but some vinyl floors are just garbage, especially cheap fake vinyl planks from China.

What are the things that I do not like about vinyl floors?
This will probably sound too good to be true but I honestly don’t have anything that I don’t like about vinyl flooring simple because it is pet urine proof.

Well, installing new floors can cost a lot of money since you will have to hire a professional floor installer.
But guess what? Anyone can install vinyl floors with a minimal amount of tools, you won’t even need any experience.
You can easily understand vinyl flooring installing guides, tips and tricks by watching free YouTube videos… there are over hundreds of free YouTube videos that will teach you how to install vinyl planks.
I have been installing vinyl floors for over 3 years, I’ve never went to college, I don’t have a university degree and I’m not even smart… anyone can install vinyl floors.
You won’t have to hire a professional… if I can do it, then anyone can do it.
What are the benefit of getting vinyl floors if you have pets?
It easy to install, if your dog or cats damage your floor somehow, well you can just remove the damaged planks and replace them with new ones, you won’t need to hire anyone to do that…
Vinyl floor is much easier to maintain, vinyl look like hardwood floors but in reality, it just durable hard strong plastic floor that looks amazing on any home.
Vinyl floors just fits in to the grooves, the ends drop lock on top or the other piece beside it….as long as you stagger your joints properly.
You can install vinyl floor in the average bedroom in about 3 or 4 hours if you have someone helping you, you can ask your spouse for an extra hand…
Is tile flooring better than vinyl flooring when it comes to pet’s urine?
I don’t recommend tile floors to people who have pets simple because tiles can be extremely slippery.
Caution: Don’t get hardwood flooring if you have pets especially dogs
Dog urine damages hardwood floor over time and hardwood floors are kinda harder to maintain.
Forget about staining, waxing and polishing, most vinyl is easy to maintain without all the extra work.
