White spirit does remove paint, but it cannot remove old dried paint on laminate floor on top of that it can easily discolor your laminate floors that is why I do not recommend it.
There are a lot of paint removing products that you can choose from but not all paint removing products are safe on laminate floor that is why you need to be very careful because laminate floors is extremely sensitive.
I had old dried paint that was stuck on my laminate floors, so my wife told me to try using white spirit but it didn’t do the job very well on top of that it discolored the floor.
Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend using white spirits for removing dried paint from laminate floor because it didn’t work for me after trying it for 3 times.
So what worked for me?
Well, after searching and searching, I finally stumbled upon a pint remover on amazon that did the job extremely well.
To be honest I was a bit skeptical at first, but I bought it after reading the customer reviews since a lot of people were also highly recommending it after using it on their laminate floors.
What product did I use?
I used the Smart Strip Advanced Paint Remover and it worked like magic, it removed all the paint stains that were stuck on my laminate floor and it didn’t ruin my floors in my process.

The reason I highly recommend Smart Strip is because it what worked for me, it safe on laminate floors since it didn’t discolor my floor.
Before using this product, I tried everything such as scrubbing and applying different product but unfortunately I ended up ruining my laminate floor in some areas.
Please note: the Smart Strip will leave some type of residue on your floor, well don’t panic, you will need to mop the floor using the Bruce Laminate Floor Cleaner to get rid of all the excess residue that was left.
What are the things that I love about Bruce cleaner?
- First off all I love my dog, so if you are the type that loves and won a pet in your house you should really consider getting this cleaner because even if the dog or your kids lick the floor they won’t get sick because this cleaner is safe

- This is also great on people who hate strong cleaners, my mom hate strong cleaners such as Jik, but she loves Bruce as it removes grim, tough stains without making the house smell horrible, this is good on tough stains, dog urine and dog poop… you need to use this cleaner if you want to make your floors last longer without putting your pets or kids in danger
- It also good because it doesn’t make the floor too shinny and also won’t make your laminate floor slippery, I have two daughters who loves to run around the house and an older dog so with this cleaner in the house I had nothing to worry about because they won’t get injured so they can run as much as they like I know they are safe… I will absolutely recommend this cleaner to anyone and purchase again when the time comes
