There are over hundreds of different duck double sided vinyl flooring tapes that you can choose from these days.
You need to be very careful when looking for a double sided tape to use on vinyl flooring because most tapes are not strong enough to last for a long time.
Out of all the double sided tapes that I have used on vinyl flooring, the only tape that I highly recommend is the QEP Double-Sided Acrylic Adhesive Strip for Vinyl simple because I have been using it for over 19 months now and it hasn’t given me any issues.
This double sided tape was made and specially designed for vinyl flooring, it not just your classic double sided tape, infect this is not a tape at all since it doesn’t have extra thickness plus it sticks very strongly on hard surface.
What makes this double sided tape different from other tapes on the market right now?
Well, it doesn’t have any extra thickness that normally come with other tapes, which means it won’t add any height on your vinyl flooring.
It is extremely strong, this tape will hold your vinyl floor for a very long time, and it has an extremely strong glue on both sides.
Another great thing about this tape is that it easy to peel off, you just roll it with your fingers and you are done, you won’t need any special tools to peel it off.
Does this tape really work for installing loose lay vinyl flooring?
Yes, it does really work, I’ve used it twice and I don’t have any regret from using it to glue my vinyl floors.
I have also recommended it to two of my friends who have vinyl floors and they both told me that they loved it.
If both my friends loved it, then I’m very positive that you are going to love it as well, this stuff really does the job when it comes to holding down the vinyl.
The only thing I can promise you is that, if it worked for me and both my friends than it should work for you too.
How much does it cost?
Well, you really don’t have to worry about the price, this tape is cheap.
Don’t let the price fool you, it cheap but high quality at the same time.
This is by far the best high quality vinyl floor double sided tape that also doesn’t cost a lot of money and on top of that it odor free plus it non-toxic.
How to use this double sided tape when installing loose vinyl floor?
When using this tape to hold down your vinyl floor, please make sure that the floor underneath is clean and dry or else the tape won’t stick properly.
Another thing that you need to know before using this tape, make sure that the replacement vinyl floor sheet is flat so you won’t have any issues over time.

To be honest I was a little bit skeptical at first about buying this tape, the only thing that made me buy it was the customer reviews.

It not perfect but I’m very happy with my purchase, infect there is no such thing as a perfect product lol
So, what are the things that I didn’t like about this tape when I was using it to install vinyl flooring?
First of all, every product has it own pros and cons or downfalls, this tape is not perfect even though I definitely would buy it over and over again just because it works.
- The first thing that I kind of didn’t like about it was that, it almost just too sticky and it little bit too thin.
- When I first used it, it wasn’t very easy to work with since it constantly wanted to stick to itself. But I was able to make it work after a few minutes.
When using it, please be gently, that is all you need to know.
It this tape strong enough to secure the vinyl sheet to the concrete floor?
Hell yes, it works very well on concrete.
I stalled the vinyl floor on top of a concrete floor using this tape and I haven’t had any issues so far, the floor was installed about 19 months ago.
This tape is extremely sticky, which is what you need in order for your vinyl floor to not be squeaky over time, I’m fully behind this tape.
Can this tape repair a vinyl floor where the sheet has torn off?
Well, if you want to use this tape to put the vinyl piece back in place that is torn apart, make sure the replacement piece is flat and the floor underneath is dry and clean.
