How to remove old carpet padding stuck to wood floor

How to remove old carpet padding stuck to wood floor

So, are you wondering what is the best way to remove that annoying old dried carpet padding stuck on your expensive hardwood floor?

Well, there are a lot of ways to remove carpet padding on your wood floors but today and I’m going to tell you the easiest way to do it.

I bought a house about 3 weeks ago and it has hardwood floor in the living room…

When I tried removing the old carpet it left padding, residue and marks on the floor.

Than my wife told me to mop the floor using vinegar and I did exactly as she told me, but guess what? IT DIDN’T WORK.

After trying a lot of different solutions that I found online with no luck, I finally found something that worked like magic.

So what worked for me?

Well, the only thing I used was denatured alcohol, but not just any denatured alcohol.

There are a lot of denatured alcohol to choose from available on the market right now, but you need to be very careful when shopping for a denatured alcohol because most denatured alcohol can easily damage your hardwood floor.

Which denatured alcohol did I use?

I used Klean Strip Denatured Alcohol and it worked within minutes after applying it on the floor…

Is this denatured alcohol safe to use on hardwood floors?

Yes, it is by far the safest denatured alcohol to use if you want to remove your old carpet padding from the floor.

The reason I recommend Klean Strip Denatured Alcohol is because I also used it and it worked extremely well...

CLICK HERE TO READ AMAZON CUSTOMER REVIEWS so you can hear what other people are saying who have also used it on their hardwood floors.

You are going to be amazed by the reviews since a lot of people who have used it are also highly recommending it which means it really does work.

Some people even uses this denatured alcohol to remove old paint stuck on hardwood floor.

After wasting a lot of money trying different product that didn’t work, the Klean Strip Denatured Alcohol is the only thing that worked for me that is why it is the only thing I recommend to people looking for ways to remove old carpet padding on their wood floor.

There are a lot of website that will tell you to use vinegar but please do not waste your time on vinegar because you are going to be very disappointed.

Vinegar can remove sticky residue but it cannot remove rug pad marks or old carpet padding.

How to use to use this alcohol to remove old carpet padding?

Using this is easy as 1.2.3… just apply it on the stained area and wipe using a soft cloth.

Tip: if you want to remove old carpet padding than make sure to apply this alcohol and give it a couple of minutes to burn the padding that is stuck on the floor than wipe using a soft cloth.

What are the things that I didn’t like about using it on my hardwood floor?

Well. I honestly do not have anything that I didn’t like about this product simple because it did exactly what I needed… it removed the carpet padding within minutes.

How much does this denatured alcohol cost?

You really do not have to worry about the price though, this stuff is cheap and it works.

I’m not good when it comes to convincing people, but the only thing I can promise you about using this denatured alcohol is that you are not going to have a single regret from using it.

It cheap and it works… you really don’t have anything to lose .

At first, I was also kind of skeptical about using it on my floors because most denatured alcohol contains super strong chemicals that can easily damage or discolor the floor.

I only bought it after reading the customer reviews since a lot of people who have used it on hardwood floors were also highly recommending it.

Where to buy?

I didn’t find it locally, so I ended up buying it online from amazon.

Caution: do not waste your time and money on expensive products that will promise to remove carpet padding within seconds because I tried about 4 and none worked until I tried this denatured alcohol.

After using vinegar, I tried about 4 products that I bought on amazon but none worked… so be very careful.

I hope this article was helpful... Good luck.
